Steve and Sharon have pastored Wave Church for 22 years in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They came to Virginia in 1999 to build a church of influence with a passion to help people live life well. Steve lives to make heaven party by winning people to Christ and developing leaders who can change their world one life at a time.
Jeff Perry is Senior Pastor of St. Louis Family Church, a life-giving, Jesus-centered, Bible-based church in the St. Louis area. He is also the Founder of Service International, an organization that reaches out with compassion to people in desperate situations—such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, and wars—all over the world with a goal of empowering individuals and communities to help themselves through crisis situations.
Meghan Schaefer has been at Guts Church for over 20 years. Meghan met her husband Shaun at Guts and are raising two daughters: Drew and Beau. Meghan loves the church. If the doors of the church are open, you will find the Schaefers there!
Tim Fruits grew up in Warrenton, MO where he was saved at a Clyde Dupin crusade in 1988. Following an encounter with God at the age of twenty, Tim moved to Tulsa, OK and completed the Guts Internship. He and his wife Tiffany now serve as senior pastors of New Life Covenant Church in Wichita, KS.
Buck Schafer has had a passion for Jesus since his youth. Raised in both Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in Oklahoma, he attended Rhema Bible Training College. In 1997, along with his wife Amy, Buck planted Grace Life Church in Pittsburgh, and has been dedicated to loving and reaching the people of east Pittsburgh ever since.
In September of 1991, Jeff and Beth Jones founded Valley Family Church, with a vision and passion to reach people for Christ. Jeff has a passion for making complex truths simple, teaching the Word in a conversational way that connects with the listener. He ministers with humor and preaches in such a way that people can understand and apply God’s Word to their everyday lives.
Jason Law is the president of World Compassion, founded in 1969 by his father, Dr. Terry Law, with a vision to empower the local church in nations hostile to the Gospel. Jason is passionate about teaching God’s Word and the Church, carrying a unique perspective of the Body of Christ from his global ministry experience.
Scott Houston has been successful in business and ministry, having led a number of sales and marketing teams. Scott has spent years coaching various leadership, business and faith groups, and he and his wife Vanessa are elders of Guts Church. His book, MoMENtum, was written to encourage Christian men as they seek to regain their edge in life.
Rachel Peters is a natural born teacher with a love for teaching God’s Word. She has an education degree from Northeastern University and has been a member of Guts Church for 19 years. She has been married for 13 years and has 3 kids.
Fred Brothers was called into ministry at the age of 16. The call of God upon Fred’s life led him to a Bible College in Texas, where he graduated with a BS in Christian Missions, graduating from Rhema Bible College the following year. Fred served at Kenneth Hagin Ministries for 15 years as a full-time instructor, and then became the Dean of Rhema, as well as an associate pastor of Rhema Church.
Tonya Morgan has been the Director of Finance for Guts Church for over 18 years, where she and her husband, Glenn, also serve as Campus Hosts at the Guts Church Skiatook campus. She is passionate about maintaining a powerful prayer life, and has personally experienced the power of standing on God’s promises of healing.
Curtis Huntsinger has been a part of Guts Church since 1997. He is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training School and the Guts Internship. Curtis, and his wife Cherish, serve as elders at Guts.
Matthew Swaggart, born into a worldwide ministry family and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, grew up seeing an inside view of major ministry. He graduated from Oral Roberts University, and has lived in Tulsa ever since with his wife Joanna and their three children.

In 2013, Dino and wife Delynn moved to Birmingham, AL and Dino became the Executive Director of ARC, an organization he co-founded in 2000. These are powerful classes that discuss the person and the ministry of Jesus. The God-ordained, creative authority given to every believer is examined in Scripture. Special attention will be paid to Jesus’ work in re-establishing mankind through the power of His blood and His name, destroying the power of the curse and returning the power of creativity and authority to mankind. Also discussed is the role of Submission in the life of a believer and how it affects your life and your ministry.

Doctrine of the Word
Each student must know that the Bible was written for them—they need not rely on scholars and teachers to interpret it. Jesus stated that after His departure that Another Comforter, Holy Spirit would come and that Holy Spirit would teach us all things, bring truth to our remembrance, guide us into applications of truth discovered. We don’t devalue working in community with other believers and their insight, but we must not ignore our divine source of truth. 2 Timothy 2;15 “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” As ministers of God, we have a great responsibility to communicate God’s truth by having insight into the types, tools, and techniques of personal study, accurately handling the word of truth”.

“There are varieties of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Spirit….To each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good (1 Cor. 12:4,7 AMP). This course is the study of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, imparted through the grace of God for the edification of the body. In this course, you will gain a deeper understanding of each of the nine spiritual gifts (wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues) and discover your personal giftings and how their manifestation brings glory to God and empowers His people.

Five Fold Ministry Gifts
In this course you will study and identify the governing gifts of ministry leadership in both the global and local church as outlined in Ephesians 4. Those gifted in the office of five-fold ministry: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher- are specifically anointed to advance the Kingdom by equipping believers for the work of the ministry, build and edify believers in both knowledge and maturity, and create unity within the body of Christ. For the body of Christ to function properly, each member has a role to play and unique gifts given by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12). In this course you will learn how the five-fold ministry is to equip the saints so they can function in their gifts.
